The last time I wrote a blog entry was in November of 2008. And it was about the Twilight movie. I thought it was time for a change.
I'm not really sure what I am aiming to accomplish by writing this blog, but I think I will find it to be a great solace. In fact, I should have started this back in May, when I came home from school. Not that a great deal happened over the summer... but it would have saved me the breath from repeating my stories/thoughts over and over and over again to my patient family and friends.
I am also finding that I have a lot of things to say on Facebook, but I don't want to turn into one of those people who makes a new status every couple of hours and clutters everyone's newsfeed. I know I can be like that at times, and I've made a conscious effort this summer to stem my desire to update. It's been hard, so I figured that writing in a blog will allow me to write as much as I want, and as often, without my facebook friends getting annoyed and hiding me on their newsfeeds.
So, basically, this blog is an excuse for me to rant. And because I care too much about what people think of me, it's a good way to be discreet about it.
I'm not looking to enlighten anyone. So don't worry - I didn't make this blog to demonstrate my intellectualism... in fact, I think that you will see that I really don't have many insightful things to say. I mean, if I come across some bits of wisdom, I will definitely share. We could both benefit from it. The name of this blog, N^2 (Nerdy Nancy), is a nickname my friends used to give me in my high school days. Those days when my field of vision was narrow, and my mind was more closed. I've found that, starting again in a different school, has allowed me to dig deep and understand myself better, and to see myself and the people around me in a different light. I have found that I am a completely different person than who I thought I was.
Whoops. I was about to delve into something heavy. I think I will just end it there for now!
